Depuis 1994, l’OVE participe au programme européen EUROSTUDENT. La France, représentée par l’OVE, fait partie du comité de pilotage de ce programme européen. Ce comité est composé notamment de représentants de la Commission européenne, de l’European Students’ Union, du Bologna Follow-Up Group, ainsi que de trois pays participants.

L’objectif du programme est de recueillir, à travers les enquêtes nationales, des données comparables entre pays participants concernant la situation sociale des étudiant·e·s et leurs conditions de vie et d’en dresser un panorama élargi.

Le programme EUROSTUDENT 8 (2021-2024) rassemble 25 pays de l’Espace européen de l’enseignement supérieur : Allemagne, Autriche, Azerbaïdjan, Croatie, Danemark, Espagne, Estonie, Finlande, France, Géorgie, Hongrie, Irlande, Islande, Lettonie, Lituanie, Malte, Norvège, Pays-Bas, Pologne, Portugal, République tchèque, Roumanie, Slovaquie, Suède et Suisse.

Les thèmes abordés de manière récurrente dans le questionnaire commun sont les suivants :

• caractéristiques socio-démographiques ;
• accès à l’enseignement supérieur ;
• satisfaction des études ;
• conditions de logement ;
• stages et activité rémunérée ;
• aides de l’Etat ;
• coût des études ;
• mobilité internationale.

Les indicateurs correspondants sont présentés dans le rapport, en anglais, Social and Economic Conditions of Student Life in Europe. Celui-ci est consultable en ligne.

En outre, cette huitième édition du programme, la première réalisée entièrement depuis la crise sanitaire, a été complétée par quatre modules thématiques, donnant chacun lieu à une publication spécifique téléchargeable ci-dessous :

• bien-être et santé mentale ;
• digitalisation ;
• effets ressentis de la pandémie ;
• discrimination perçue dans l’enseignement supérieur.

Since 1994, the OVE (French Observatory of Student Life) has been participating in the European programme EUROSTUDENT.

France, represented by the OVE, is a member of the Steering board for the European program. The committee includes representatives from several stakeholders, including the European Commission, the European Students’ Union, the Bologna Follow-Up Group and three participating countries.

The programme aims to use national surveys to gather comparable data from participating countries on the social situation and living conditions of students, and to provide a broader overview.

The EUROSTUDENT 8 programme (2021-2024) brings together 25 countries in the European Higher Education Area: Austria, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

The recurring themes addressed in the joint questionnaire are as follows:

• socio-demographic characteristics,
• access to higher education,
• satisfaction with studies,
• housing conditions,
• internships and paid work,
• State support,
• cost of study,
• international mobility.

In addition, this eighth programme, the first to be produced in its entirety since the start of the health crisis, has included four thematic modules analysed in specific publications:

• well-being and mental health,
• digitalisation,
• perceived effects of the pandemic,
• perceived discrimination in higher education.
